Gift Ideas for Her: 20-Something-Year-Olds

January 21, 2021

It’s so much easier to find products for women, but it may be difficult to know exactly what she wants. Pair that with the current late Millennials and early Gen-Z unpredictable and always changing taste, we never know what they (we – because I’m in that category too 😊) want.

You can always give cash or a gift card, but something meaningful or useful may be more appreciated. While we may not know exactly what she wants, we do have an idea of what she would like.

Whether it’s a birthday, holiday, or a special gift just because, this list has a variety of options that will help you get an idea of what to give to a 20-somtheing year-old. And it’s always absolutely ok to splurge a little on yourself too even if you’re not in this age category – treat yourself, ladies!

Candles

Candles are a classic gift. Whether you actually use them, buy them for their pretty containers for show pieces, or just to stick your nose in to take a whiff every now and then, candles are a perfect timeless gift for every occasion – well, candlescandles aren’t exactly timeless if you use them, but you get my point 😊.

Anthropologie

Reed Diffuser

Reed diffusers are another home fragrance gift option. The great thing about them is that they are a perfect gift for anyone that doesn’t want to or can’t light a fire in their home. Check out these ones that look like a floral bouquet that can serve as home fragrance and décor.

Wax Warmer

Wax warmers are another great flameless alternative to candles. Wax warmers are electric warmers with a bulb that melts wax cubes and tarts. These are also a multifunctional gift that can serve as home fragrance and décor.

Oil Diffuser

Oil diffusers are yet another flameless candle alternative that can also serve as home décor. Plus, you have the option to customize your own oil blends. Simply fill the container with water and add a few drops of the fragrance oils or essential oils for a natural option. They even have colorful light changing ones too!

Home and Bed

Plush Throw

Who doesn’t like a plush and cozy blanket. These are perfect fall and winter gifts for anyone. This plush throw is another great option for “décor with a purpose”.

Floor chair

With all these online classes, I’m guilty of using my bed as my work place even when I have a table and chair. This is not only bad for my bed but also my back. While looking for comfortable alternatives to my comfortable bed and uncomfortable chair, I found this floor chair. Now, I can use my laptop comfortably without ruining my back and bed.

Mini Fridge

I think this portable mini fridge is a great versatile gift. You can store some drinks and snacks in your room, bring this out to a picnic without worrying about ice, and even chill cosmetics in your room.

Travel

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are a nice option for travel lovers. You can easily organize clothes, accessories, toiletries, and foot wear in your suitcase. No more digging through and dumping the entire suitcase to look for a missing sock.

Self Care and Productivity

Glass Water Bottle

I’ve been using this glass water bottle recently and love it. It doesn’t have the funky smell or taste of metal and plastic bottles, plus it’s dishwasher safe and comes in a variety of colors. Also, this water bottle and this are also great options with a water tracker that’s great for keeping track of your water intake.

Kindle

Want to give books as a gift but can’t decide what the recipient likes? Try a Kindle instead. It’s a great option to go paperless and with over a million options to choose from, it’s another timeless gift that keeps giving.

Fitness Tracker

A fitness tracker is perfect for the fitness enthusiast in your life. Even if you’re recipient is not a fitness junkie, a fitness tracker a great way to track daily activity, health, steps, and more which can help motivate you to keep going. There are a variety of options and brands to choose from such as Fitbit.

Noise Canceling Headphones

We all just want some peace and quiet at times. Whether that’s adding white noise or tuning out conversation, noise canceling headphones are perfect for focusing on work or getting some quiet time. They come in a variety of options and capabilities, so here are some great options for gifts.

Coloring Book

Yes, in case you haven’t heard already, coloring books for adults are a thing. They are basically more detailed image outlines than your average children’s coloring book. Though this may seem like a weird gift, coloring is a great way to relieve stress which makes coloring books a great self-care gift idea.

Beauty

The Ordinary Skincare

The Ordinary has been all the rage this past year. While it may have gained popularity due to reviews on social media, it’s worth the hype! I’ve been using the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% on and off but can say that when used with a good cleanser and moisturizer, I notice a big difference in my skin’s appearance and texture. I have also been using the AHA 30% + BHA 2% and have also noticed improvement with my skin. The Ordinary is sold at Sephora and Ulta.

Silk Scrunchy

While it may just seem like a pretty hair accessory, silk scrunchies are gentle on the hair and can therefore protect it and prevent potential hair loss caused by the pulling and tightness of regular hair scrunchies and elastic bands.

Wallet

A handbag is useful for carrying around multiple items, but on the days when you want to pack light, a wallet comes in handy. A good wallet, especially one that can double as a mini purse, is great for carrying all your essentials. This is great for the 20-something-year-olds that tend to only carry around their cards, phone, and keys.

Jewelry

Another great accessory gift idea for women. There are loads of options for jewelry at all price points with countless designs. The best gift for a 20-something-year-old would be minimalist jewelry with simple, yet elegant designs.

BaubleBar

Swarovski

Watch

Speaking  of timeless pieces, it goes without saying that a watch is the ultimate timeless piece – pun intended 😊. Watches are classic accessories that are also great gift alternatives for those that don’t wear much jewelry but still want to accessorize.

Food

Coffee and Tea

If you are not a caffeine consumer yourself, coffee and tea still serve as great gifts for caffeine lovers. While I don’t drink much coffee or tea myself, I won’t pass up on hazelnut flavored coffee – yum!
